How to Get the KTX Ticket

1. Check the KTX routes and operating schedule.

* Please click on the links above and check the KTX routes and schedule to book a KTX ticket.

2. Book the ticket on the Visit Korea Year website.
* You can only book the train tickets 10-30 days before the day of departure (Please carefully check your booking details).

3. Check the confirmation email.
* If the booking is successfully completed, a confirmation will be forwarded to the registered email address.

4. Print out the confirmation email and get the ticket at a designated location (pay with cash or credit card).
* Tickets are issued no more than three days before the date of departure. Visit the designated location to pick up your ticket.

Notices for reservation

Once the ticket has been booked, it is hard to change the departure time and date. Please be careful
when booking the train.
The KTX train discount may be up to 30%. The discount rates may vary depending on the train route.
- If your information is not correct, your reservation will be considered invalid and be cancelled without
prior notice.
- If you enter a KTX station that does not exist, your reservation will be considered invalid.
- Please correctly enter a “morning or afternoon” time slot.
You can only book the train tickets 10-30 days before the date of departure
The special discount is NOT available during busy seasons such as Korean Thanksgiving and the
Lunar New Year holidays.
Once the special discount has been applied, there will NOT be an additional discount for children.
Once the tickets are paid for and issued, the departure time and date can NOT be changed. If the
tickets are cancelled, a cancellation fee will be charged as follows.
- 3 days - right before the train departure: 20% of the ticket price
- The tickets will NOT be refunded after the train’s departure.
