Choi Ji-Woo, Honorary Smile Ambassador, attracts 11,000 Chinese to Korea.

Actress Choi Ji-Woo, who has been working as the honorary “smile” ambassador for the Visit Korea Year, was the impetus for 11,000 Chinese tourists to come to Korea. The welcome video with Choi Ji-Woo was created to attract incentive tours, the annual event of China’s largest incentive tour group, Bao Jian Commodity Co, Ltd. (Bao Jian), to Korea, one year ago and played a big role in attracting this large number of tourists.
11,000 leaders of Bao Jian have been enjoying a tour to Jeju and Seoul in Korea in a tour that lasts for 5 nights and 6 days begun on Sep. 13. Bao Jian provides the incentive tour as a reward for outstanding leaders in order to boost the morale of the organization every year. Bao Jian selected Australia in 2008 and Taiwan in 2009. This year, Bao Jian selected Korea.

The big incentive group, with the expected direct consumption expenditure of 30 billion Won and production stimulation of 54 billion Won, Bao Jian selected Korea by preliminary coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Visit Korea Committee, the Korea Tourism Organization, and the Jeju and Seoul governments from 2009 related to the supports for its tour in Korea. The messages from the popular Hallyu stars Choi Ji-Woo and Ji Jin-Hui in the welcome video also played a significant role.
Miss Choi, who has been working as the honorary ambassador of the “Korea Grand Sale” held from Jan. 9 to Feb. 29, 2012 for two consecutive years, said, “I am very glad to see all of you in Korea after meeting through video one year ago. I hope all of you will appreciate Korea’s beautiful nature and culture and that this tour will be the opportunity for more Chinese to visit our country. Korea provides benefits in various fields including festivals, shopping and accommodations during the Visit Korea Year to be continued by 2012. I hope to see even more tourists in Korea.”
