Choi Ji-woo, the Honorary Smile Ambassador
As the Face of the Visit Korea Year Campaign

Hallyu star Choi Ji-woo, the Honorary Smile Ambassador for the Visit Korea Year campaign, will appear as the face of the tourism campaign in a promotional video. She was filmed for a video to promote tourism, entitled "Presenting Korea to You."

In 2011 alone, over 9.8 million international tourists visited Korea, and we expect to see more than 10 million visit Korea this year. In this context, the promotional video will cement Ms. Choi`s popularity as a Hallyu star; through the video, she will help promote Korean tourism as the face of Korea around the world.

The new video will showcase special festivals sponsored by the Visit Korea Committee (including the K-Pop Cover Dance Festival, Jinhae Gunhangje, International Peace & Life Festival, Hallyu Dream Festival, Busan International Fireworks Festival, Korean Food Festival, and Jeju Olle Walking Festival), promotions and discounts offered via the Korea Grand Sale and Free Shuttle Bus program during the Visit Korea Campaign, and "Luxury Tour Courses" chosen to celebrate the Visit Korea Year campaign.

Ms. Choi has no doubt that "international tourists will not only enjoy friendliness from Koreans, but also abundant promotions and benefits." Following last year, she will be a publicity ambassador for two consecutive years for the 2012 Korean Grand Sale which will last between January 9th and February 29th. She has actively participated in promoting Korean tourism and contributing to attracting many Chinese tourists last year for group incentive travels.
