Daejeon Aqua World

This cave-shaped aquarium offers diverse, rare marine plants and animals from around the world. The main hall displays the huge 2.5m-wide sting ray captured in Thailand and over 60,000 fish (500 types) including the living fossil pirarucu (also the largest freshwater fish). Offering nine theme halls, the aquarium displays fish living in Korea, Asia, Africa, and the Amazon.

[Lunch] Korean Food (Joseonok/Mujigae Hanjeongsik)

Joseonok, a famous restaurant in Daejeon offers delicious, healthy dishes. It avoids using artificial condiments and, instead, relies on fermented soybean paste made on its own farm. The restaurant's main menus include Hanbang-dakgomtang (boiled chicken soup with medicinal herbs), Hanbang-dongbotang, and Hanbang-yongbongtang (crucian carp soup with chicken and medicinal herbs). Mujigae Hanjeongsik also boasts fresh dishes using natural ingredients; over 20 menus are offered, including Gujeolpan (an octagon-shaped platter with nine delicacies), raw sliced flatfish and abalone, Galbijjim (braised short ribs seasoned with sauce), dishes with ginseng and jujube, and Sinseollo (a royal casserole with seafood, meat, and vegetables).

Expo Science Park

Opened in 1993 for the Daejeon Expo, this theme park is home to the world's largest IMAX Theater, a simulation center, Body World, and a 3D Theater. It offers many educational and hands-on programs for children and visitors (including a Science Class, Craft Class, and Exploration & Experiment Class) so that they can become familiar with science in an easy, accessible way.

Korea Aerospace Research Institute

The institute offers a glimpse of Korea's aerospace technology. It has conducted research on aircrafts, gliders, and satellite systems; the institute also helped commercialize unmanned aerial vehicles and Korea's own helicopters. Programs offered by the institute let visitors tour and understand aircrafts, satellite, and rockets.

[Dinner] Yuseong Spa (Foot Bathing, Gomtang, and Samgyeopsal)

Yuseong is a city known for hot springs, and this facility offers foot bathing experiences for visitors free of charge; visitors can place their feet in a natural hot spring and recover from travel fatigue. For dinner menus, visitors may want to consider known local dishes including Gomtang and Samgeopsal. Jangsu Jingomtang boasts delicious Gomtang (simmered cow bone soup with rice) and Galbitang (beef short rib stew); Moranjeong is known for Hunje-samgyeopsal (smoked pork belly) and Galbi (grilled short beef ribs).

Samsung Dlight

Run by Samsung Electronics, the hall lets visitors experience Samsung's IT products and mobile accessories. With the concept of a "Digital Playground," it offers an opportunity for visitors to see and use a huge array of Samsung products, attracting over 3,000 visitors a day. Over 1,200 mega-hit items, as well as those to be released, are displayed. Visitors can purchase new items and limited editions in the shop on the 1st underground floor.

[Lunch] Restaurants near Gangnam Station

Near Gangnam Station are many chic restaurants, ideal for business meetings and group gatherings. To name a few, Pavilion offers delicious spaghetti; 5Ton Station is known for "spoony pizza" (eating pizza with a spoon); Viva Luce offers a luxury buffet covering over 300 dishes; and Taco Rico offers dishes enjoyed in northern Mexico.

Run by SK Telecom, it is space for future technology. Visitors can enjoy customized fun by placing personal information in the mobile tool, T.key. U-Driving lets visitors turn on a vehicle with a mobile phone, while U-Fashion lets visitors measure their body through frequency signals and recommends fashion items to them. Visitors can also receive e-mails containing what they experienced at T.um.

Digital Pavilion

The hall is home to Korean digital media and advanced IT technology. With RFID cards distributed at the entry, visitors can operate over 40 hands-on pieces of equipment. The IT Theater is particularly popular among visitors with 3D movies that let them experience vibration and wind effects.

[Dinner] Hongik University

The area around Hongik University has been a popular site for young people for a long time thanks to numerous restaurants and clubs. J's Recipe is a café-style restaurant offering English-style dishes and desserts; On the Grill boasts delicious, grilled meat and seafood, while Venus Kitchen offers Okinawa-style fusion Japanese food; Pakumori offers Japanese-style dry curry; Sak specializes in crispy, fried food; and Kyo Bakery and Richemont Bakery boast delicious baked goods.

Incheon Art Platform

Old buildings built a century ago when the Incheon Port was opened ware transformed into this gorgeous art center through remodeling efforts. It is home to 13 buildings including studios, education centers, exhibition halls, and performance halls. It displays diverse types of art, including visual art and literature, and showcases exciting performances. The popular Korean drama Dream High was filmed here.

[Lunch] Incheon China Town

The town was formed by Chinese workers after Incheon Port was opened in 1883. Currently, over 500 Chinese-Koreans live in the town. There are many Chinese restaurants and shops offering Chinese tea products, accessories, and Chinese dresses called qipao. Some of the better known restaurants include Gonghwachun (the birthplace of Jajangmyeon), Mandabok (also famous for Jajangmyeon), and Siprihyang (specializing in dumplings prepared in a brazier).

Tomorrow City

It is a futuristic spot equipped with all the latest gadgets and technologies. Visitors can see what robots can do in the future at U-City Vision Center and watch 3D live performances as well.

Songdo Central Park

It is Korea's first park made of seawater. It also created an artificial lake reminiscent of Venice's artificial waterways. Visitors can ride a water taxi and tour gorgeous manmade and natural landscapes. Numerous well-made bikeways attract many family visitors as well.

Incheon, as a port city, boasts many restaurants offering fresh seafood at reasonable prices. Popular spots to enjoy grilled shell fish and shrimp, raw sliced fish, or other seafood are located near Soraepogu Port or in Fish Market near Yeonan Budu.
